94 POINTS - Jeb Dunnuck: The 2020 Estate Reserve checks in as a blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and the rest equal parts Malbec and Petit Verdot. Its saturated purple/plum hue is followed by terrific aromatics of ripe black fruits, smoked tobacco, chocolate, and truffly earth. Balanced, medium to full-bodied, and nicely concentrated, with a great finish, it's a beautiful wine in the vintage. | 94 POINTS - Owen Bargreen: The 2020 ‘Estate Reserve’ Red Wine blends 35% Cabernet Sauvignon with 29% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc with a touch of Malbec and Petit Verdot that was all stored in 100% French oak. The palate is very soft and refined with lovely herbal and graphite tones alongside Asian spices, black currant jelly, and coffee grounds with firm tannins holding things brilliantly in place. This has some serious aging potential. Drink 2023-2040. | 92+ POINTS - Wine Advocate: A blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot,24% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec and 6% Petit Verdot, the 2020 Estate Reserve presents a profile of dusty dark fruit aromas with a firm nose, complemented by oak spices and hints of black tea and roasted coffee bean. Full-bodied, the wine displays layers balanced by a tannic structure with succulent acidity and a fresh herbal framework that follows through to the finish, lingering with a spicy aftertaste. The wine aged exclusively in 100% new French barrels for 20 months. 4,788 bottles produced. | 92 POINTS - James Suckling |
