Privacy & Shipping Policies

Shipping included on six or more bottles & case discount details:                                                              

Ground shipping is included on six or more bottles - any size - to any of the contiguous U.S. states we are legally allowed to ship to. 10% case discount – any size- offered on all wines. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to see a listing of these states. For Alaska and Hawaii residents, we ship via 2-Day air service. We will apply a comparable shipping credit to your order to help offset the shipping charges. For a shipping quote, please email shipping@woodwardcanyon.com.

Per Federal law, all shipments require an adult signature (21 years or older) for delivery: 

An adult signature is required for wine deliveries. It is illegal to sell, furnish, or give alcohol to a minor and that it is also illegal for a minor to acquire, consume, or attempt to acquire or consume alcohol.

If you are unsure you will be home to sign, we recommend shipping to your work address or local Fed Ex location.

Please note: AZ, GA, KS and MI require us to have a copy of the purchaser/consumer's photo ID on file for online orders. We will need to obtain a copy before shipment. 

California Warning: Drinking distilled spirits, beer, coolers, wine and other alcoholic beverages may increase cancer risk, and, during pregnancy, can cause birth defects. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/alcohol.

Woodward Canyon will confirm an expected date of delivery but this is an estimate only as issues in transit can arise. For questions about coordinating delivery, please email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com.

Woodward Canyon Winery does not sell or rent customer lists or customer information. The information we collect is used solely by members of the Woodward Canyon staff to service you, our customer, by fulfilling orders and communicating product and winery news. For marketing communication, this includes personal information such as name and email address. For order fulfillment, name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers and credit card information is required.

To opt-out of marketing communications, please email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com with the subject 'Unsubscribe'. 

Woodward Canyon maintains strict data security measures in order to ensure the protection of our customer's personal information for both onsite purchases and online purchases. For online purchases, we work with a PCI-compliant ecommerce provider and credit card information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). All credit card information used to process orders onsite is encrypted and locked with manager and password protection.

All products sold on Woodward Canyon's website are quoted and transacted in U.S. dollars. We adhere strictly to laws governing the shipment of our product. This is valid for both domestic and international shipments.

We are able to cancel orders for a full refund as long as the order has not shipped yet. To cancel an order, please email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com. with your order number. 

Due to the temperature sensitive nature of wine, we are generally not able to accept returns on wine orders that have already been received by the purchaser or gift recipient. The exception would be if a member of the Woodward Canyon staff is responsible for the error (i.e., the wrong wine was packed). Shipping Policies:

Woodward Canyon Winery ships wine to legal destinations using UPS and FedEx at the customer's request. This policy is written for orders shipping from the winery via either of these carriers.

We do not ship to illegal states or states where we are not licensed to ship to.

We are able to ship to certain countries as allowed by law. Please contact getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com to inquire about International shipping.

Shipping schedule:

Shipments typically leave our facility Mondays. If you would like to order to arrive on a different date please leave a note in the special instruction box when purchasing or email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com.

Shipping in hot or cold weather:
 
At certain times of the year during extreme heat and extreme cold, we recommend not shipping via ground service due to temperature concerns. The customer may choose to expedite the shipping, for an additional fee, or the customer may allow Woodward Canyon to hold onto the shipment until temperatures are moderate. 

If Woodward Canyon holds the shipment, the credit card used at the time the order is placed is charged so Woodward Canyon may put the wine aside for shipping later. 

If you have specific questions about this policy or your order, please contact getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com. A customer service representative from Woodward Canyon will check with you before placing the order on hold to ship at a later date.

Shipping & handling costs: 

A small portion of your total shipping & handling cost is packaging. If you have specific questions regarding the packaging costs, please email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com or call (509) 525-4129.

Packaging materials:

We offer sustainable fiber packaging for as many shipments as possible. If temperatures are not adequate for fiber packaging, we will substitute with Styrofoam.

Gift Order Policy:

When ordering wine to be shipped as a gift, the recipient, as well as the person who places the order, must be 21 years or older. We now require a phone number and email address of the recipient you wish to send wine to. We will contact them directly to ensure that they will be there for delivery (information of wine ordered won’t be disclosed). We highly recommend shipping to the recipient’s work address so deliveries won’t be missed!

Cancellation and Return policy:

We are able to cancel orders for a full refund as long as the order has not shipped yet. To cancel an order, please email getthedirt@woodwardcanyon.com with your order number.

Please note:

Delivery days for all shipments are estimates only. We are given an expected time in transit from the shipper but delays may occur from weather or other transit issues. We do not guarantee any delivery day. However, the shipper does make at least 3 delivery attempts before the shipment will go to the warehouse for pick-up. If you plan on picking the package up, please call the shipper directly. They will automatically send the package back to us if they do not hear from the recipient in a timely manner. 

For packages that are returned to us because the recipient was not available to sign:    

If these packages are re-shipped, the additional cost to re-ship them will be billed to the purchaser of the wine. This includes any gift orders where the gift recipient did not accept the package for delivery. 

Wrong addresses: 

For shipments where Woodward Canyon has received the wrong address from the purchaser, re-shipments will be billed to the purchaser. Woodward Canyon Winery will be responsible for shipments where the staff of the winery inadvertently made a mistake when preparing the order for shipping. 

Updates/Changes made directly through carrier: 

Woodward Canyon takes great care and consideration on when to ship your wine. If the customer makes any changes or updates to their order directly with the carrier once the package has left the winery, it removes the winery from responsibility for delayed or disrupted shipments and additional travel days that may incur. 

There are other costs associated with wine coming back from our shippers, including the cost to actually ship the wine back to the winery. Woodward Canyon will accept these charges provided the purchaser or the recipient is willing to pay the additional charges to get the wine to the intended destination. If the order is cancelled at the purchaser's request, the charges associated with getting the wine back to the winery will be the responsibility of the purchaser and will be billed accordingly.
