2022 Estate Grenache-Mourvèdre-Syrah-Malbec
Walla Walla Valley
We have been experimenting with Mediterranean varietals for years now, and are excited about this blend. Fermented with native yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the blend will change from year to year to produce a wine inspired by some of our old world favorites. This wine was produced from grapes grown at Woodward Canyon Estate Vineyard (Salmon Safe certified) at the western edge of the Walla Walla Valley.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This wine is deep ruby red in color with aromatics of Italian plum, fig, oregano, and Nicoise olive. In the mouth, jammy fruit notes evolve nicely into a smooth mouthfeel with subtle oak expressions. Its bright fruit and acidity make it a very food-worthy wine.
Vineyard Notes
Planted in 1977, Woodward Canyon is the westernmost vineyard in Walla Walla Valley AVA, roughly 15 miles west of Walla Walla, Washington. There are 35 vineyard acres planted and several more acres of green belts that support native species such as western juniper, ponderosa pine, western sagebrush, arrowleaf balsamroot, and perennial wildflowers. Ritzville silt loam over fractured basalt, slope 15-18%, 750-850 ft elevation. All grapes are Salmon Safe certified as is the wine.
