Special Releases from Woodward Canyon Winery - August 11th, 2010

The 2009 Estate Reserve Chardonnay ($54) is a wine we have been anticipating for quite some time. This wine comes from the top four barrels of our own Estate chardonnay - a great vineyard site and an excellent vintage. This whole-cluster pressed wine was fermented in one-year old French barrels and aged sur-lies for eight months. The last time we were able to do an Estate Reserve Chardonnay was back in 2003. With only 101 cases produced, this Estate Chardonnay won't last. Please note, there are no case discounts available for the Estate Reserve Chardonnay.

Looking for another great white wine to finish the summer with? Our other new release, the 2009 Estate Sauvignon Blanc ($26), will be sure to delight. This 100% sauvignon blanc from our Estate vineyard was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel.

Stock up now! The Woodward Canyon half-case and case sale will be ending soon. Order now to receive 10% off on six to eleven bottles and 20% off on twelve bottles or more. Some wines, such as the Estate Chardonnay, "Old Vines", Special Selection and Charbonneau Red, do not receive the discount but will count towards the the volume for discounts on other wines.

Visiting Woodward Canyon soon? Consider booking a private tasting in our "Reserve House"! These sit-down tastings are guided by a member of the Woodward Canyon staff and feature limited and reserve wines. We offer these tastings on Thursdays and Fridays, at 11 AM and 1:30 PM, but may be able to accomodate your group on a different day. There is a non-refundable $25 tasting fee per person for these tastings, and they typically last one to one and a half hours. Light fare is provided. For more information, email reservehouse@woodwardcanyon.com.
