Sue O’Neill, Controller / Accounting and Compliance (left):

Sue graduated from Linfield College with a business degree, then became a CPA two years later.  She spent the next six years working in public accounting for small accounting firms in the Northwest.  While her children were young she worked part-time for various firms and businesses, landing at Woodward Canyon in 1990.  As the winery grew she took on more responsibility for the increasingly complex financial and compliance issues facing the ever changing wine industry, becoming Controller in 1999.  She came to Woodward Canyon a total wine novice, but is very thankful for the education everyone here so patiently and enthusiastically imparts!  Away from work, Sue loves to cook for family and friends, garden, travel, and plays in a bell choir.  She and her husband are learning how to sail, and have three grown children.

Marlene Steiner, Marketing / Web (right):

Marlene grew up in Guilford, Connecticut and attended Fairfield University, in Fairfield, CT where she received a B.S. in International Business.  After moving to New York, NY and working on Wall Street in brokerage for a couple of years, Marlene re-united with her college sweetheart. Although neither had ever been to Washington State, they decided to quit their jobs and make the move.  Marlene was fortunate to land a job at one of the oldest and most well-respected wineries in Washington State (you guessed it, Woodward Canyon!) and went on to get her M.B.A. from Washington State University.  An animal lover, she has two cats and two German Shepherds. 

Thomas Woodley, National Sales Coordinator / Distributor Sales (middle): 
Thomas  recommended his first bottle of Woodward Canyon in 1991 while working at Bellevue Village QFC (Rick’s 1989 Reserve Chardonnay, he believes.)  After a circuitous career path in distribution, retail and restaurants (with educational stops at Whitman College and the University of Idaho), he arrived at Woodward Canyon in 2003, and is still thrilled to be in charge of National Sales.  He is an ardent (his wife might say afflicted) Husky fan, and he spends the lion’s share of his time thinking about food (a trait he shares with his dog, Curtis.)
